Adults of this species were first recorded in the county in June
1997 on
the River Avon at Cleve Prior Mill. This was the second great find
of
the
1990s. In the following year emergence of the species was observed
further upstream at Marlcliff.
In 2002 breeding has been proved up to Welford-on-Avon and two
sightings have been made of adults on the Arrow near Broom. In
2004 an
exuvia was found at Stratford-upon-Avon. The species
can be expected to continue its progress up the Avon and possibly
breeding will be proved on some tributaries.
In 2011 there were no records for the species in the county and
in
2012 only two individual were seen. Once again, no sightings of
the species were made in 2013 in spite a careful searching on the
Avon. It may be that the populations has died out in Warwickshire.
