In 2009 a male of this species was seen and photographed by Keith
Warmington at Baddesley, Nuneaton. It was almost
certainly a vagrant but marks on the abdomen
suggest it had mated. This is the first proved record of the
species in
Warwickshire.
There are two other historic records of Keeled Skimmer in
the
county but they have been discounted because of doubt about their
identification.
