By logging in and, if you are monitoring a site, following a couple of conventions on data entry set out below, it will greatly assist (me) in
the automatic extraction of data for analysis work.
Please help by doing so.
If you are using the BRC form it is strongly advised you first go to the iRecord Home page and login.
You will first need to create an iRecord account on the Home page - this needs to be done only once.
If you are logged in the advantages are:
1) When you go to entry page your name will be automatically placed in the Recorder name field.
2) Entries of your sighting are allocated to your account and when you go to the Explore -> My records
only your records will be displayed.
3) You have access to more iRecord functions.
To return to the correct entry form go to Record -> Taxon-specific forms -> Enter a list of dragonflies
Do not use any of the other options under Record.
Don't logout when you are finished then when you come to the page to make more entries you are likely to still be logged in.
Select your name on the following list and click on it (no need to if you are logged in).
click on this field, copy the contents and paste into the
Recorder Name field.
If your name is not in the list please use the "Surname, Firstname" form.
Enter your times and weather data in the fields and then
tab or click on the Monitor Data field and copy and paste the contents into
the Overall comment field.
Enter exact counts for those species you have them for into the fields below then tab or click into the
Exact count fields and copy and paste the contents into the species
Comment field on the entry form.
